Abiogenesis by Revolution Void

Early Revolution Void, especially tracks from Like a Secret Dream, is much more dance oriented than his later stuff. Tracks like Abiogenesis just cry out for some space on the dance floor.

This track is less than half the size in vorbis format, but still sounds excellent.

It's about time Xiu Xiu release song (and an album) titled Dear God, I Hate Myself. That phrase could be a mantra for the group.

Water Here by Bodies Of Water

Every Bodies of Water track I've had the pleasure of hearing has been immense. Water Here is over six minutes. It builds up dramatically with choruses of voices, then breaks out into a fast paced, accelerating climax.

Five Little Rooms by Menomena

I just saw Menomena play at the Metro. They covered a lot of their new album, including the standout track Five Little Rooms, which translates roughly and beautifully into the live setting.

Lunchroom Drama by Podington Bear

Normally I recommend avoiding a Lunchroom Drama, but when a Podington Bear is involved the result are upbeat and adorable. It's a drama worth getting embroiled in.

The First Thing About Me by Brad Sucks

It's not perfect, but the demo version of The First Thing About Me points to a very promising new album from Brad Sucks.

Update: the link has been changed to the album version.

Postcard by State Shirt

State Shirt incorporates some really strange sounds into his older songs. Postcard starts with beatboxing and has some stranger shivering noises running throughout. It was once a Song Fight track that made it onto his first album, Don't Die.

Antelopes by Tiny Folk

Antelopes nearly makes me laugh every time I hear it. It's thoroughly silly, from the call and response to the nonsense lyrics to the weird vocal effects.

U-92 by The Whiskers

Any song that even touches a topic like Uranium has a leg up for me, but U-92 goes above and beyond. It's a weird song, even for a band as unusual as The Whiskers.

Mon Homme Blessé by Valérie Leulliot

Aurgasm is in love with both French pop and quiet folk pop. And so Mon Homme Blessé neatly summarizes a large portion of the sounds of that blog. It falls under both categories.

Perhaps one of the best tracks from A Black House, A Coloured Home is Mirage. It does what We vs. Death does best: rhythmic, glittering post-rock.

She's leaving for work in the underwater tram. I think I'll take a minute to think about it by Cherly KaCherly

She's leaving for work in the underwater tram. I think I'll take a minute to think about it. Those thoughts seems to involve a lot of repetition, layering new thoughts over repeating older thoughts.

Decent quality comes in a smaller file with vorbis.

Disco by The Walt

One of the things I like about The Walt is the way each instrument seems to occupy it's own space. A clear guitar line twinkles over a distorted rhythm guitar and a catch bass in Disco, without any of the sounds blending into indistinguishability.
